On Tuesday April 4, 2023, the Assessors’ Office and the Treasurer/Collector’s office determined an error was made in an electronic file provided to the bill vendor. This resulted in 1 (one) day of interest being charged on all 4^th quarter tax bills (real estate and personal property).

The correct files have been sent to the vendor. Most bills handled through third party vendors will have correct information. Taxpayers paying a bill in person at Memorial Hall are encouraged to verify the amount with the Collectors office before paying by check. Any overage paid will either be refunded or be applied in the next fiscal year.

Questions on payments should be directed to the Collector’s Office at 978-774-1867 and questions regarding assessments should be directed to the Assessors’ Office at 978-774-2099.
