The Town of Middleton has over 2,000 acres of land protected by a combination of local, state, federal and nonprofit agencies, including the Town of Middleton, MA, Department of Agriculture, Town of Danvers, New England Forestry and the Essex County Greenbelt Association. Approximately 25% (± 500 acres) of the protected land in Town is under the care and custody of the Middleton Conservation Commission.
